Hi Everyone,
Newbie to these forums.
I am trying to install a JVC KD-G416/KD-G415 CD/MP3 head unit into my 94 Subaru Impreza.
The stereo wiring on the car is not the same as the diagram found through the 12volts install bay wiring database
The blue / YELLOW (12v+ constant) is not powering the head unit - the yellow/red (12v+ switched) is actually powering the head unit. So I'm guessing they are opposite to the 12volts wiring database???
This is where I need help... The wiring is a little frustrating because I know how to wire - as in solder & tape. But it doesn't seem to be right...
I can get it to power on but the head unit powers up, then gives a message "SEE YOU" then powers off. I also cannot use the power button to turn it on.
Thanks.

Surely, you have a place you can get a harness from?  A metra 70-8901 should do the trick: https://www.the12volt.com/wireinfo/metraKits5.asp?info=alarm&year=1993-2004&make=Subaru&model=Impreza&ID=4726&type=Kits

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Hey Geepherder,
Thanks for that. I'm not able to get a harness at all.
But I did get it going. I ended up just having to pick & choose wires until I got the right one that powers the head unit correctly.
There were two wires that were powering the unit but but I had to make sure I had the 12V+ constant wire not the switched wire.
