Hey! I got a 2000 Suburban and I am thinking of putting in a new Head deck and new speaker. I heard that if I replace the stock stereo my keyfob will not work. Is that true and if it is can I take it out and add it to the new one? (without putting $100 in to a new keyfob)

That'd be a first for me.  Yes, your keyfob will still work.  If you have OnStar, you will lose it unless you use an expensive adapter or relocate the factory radio.  If it's not important to you, just use the regular harness.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
