ok so i messed up. i misinformed you guys and told you that i have the SWS-1242 TYPE S. i took apart my box and behind the speaker, it said SWS-1222D 2ohm + 2ohm.... this is the side of my amp.... http://ampguts.realmofexcursion.com/Alpine_MRV-1507/outside2.jpg my question for bridging my amp is do i connect the 2 positive wires into the positve in CH1? And connect the 2 negatives wires to the negative in CH1? ANd leave CH2 empty? thanks in advance

no... to bridge that amp you need to take the positive for the left channel and the negitive from the right channel.

but i don't think that amp can handle anything under a 4 ohm load bridge. it could pop if you go lower and not cooled properly for that. i see that you have a 2 ohm sub. but what i don't know is that if you have two of them or just one.and if they are dual voice coils. i'm not fimilar with that sub.although the way you posted does seem like it is a dual voice coil.

please give more info on your setup and equipment.

only one sub, i guess. the only thing you can do with that sub is 2 or 8 ohm and wouldn't be practicaly to that amp.

get a mono amp that will handle the 2 ohm load.
