I am wanting to have a cable coming from the stereo that I can hook into the headphone jack of my mp3 player. I took the stereo out to see if it had RCA female jacks on the back of it, but it did not. I did see a port with a bunch of pins in it, but I do not know what this is for. Is there a way that I can use the empty port to hook up my mp3 player? i.e. Is there a cable made that will hook into the empty port that has rca jacks on the end of it so I can use a cable to run to my mp3 player?

does your deck have changer control or an aux button on the front. If it does you can use a peripheral AUX BOX and use your mp3 player that way. What you are describing sounds like the correct hook up

Yeah the same button that changes from radio to CD is also an aux button. Thanks for the information, I'll look for one of those.
