I got a 1988 mustang i am puttin two jl10w7's in my trunk. i figure i can build it into a box to hold the two subs. but could it be done or am i wasting my time, but i seen it done at a car show but those guys spend more money then me. i am worried if i build the box it will have not the right size for the right sound.

any takes on this one

anything is possible...take your time and don't rush things, as well do a search on this site and learn what you can about fiberglassing.  the final size of the box will be determinded by weither you go sealed or ported.  make sure you know excatly what you want befor you build, draw it out  and such like that. then have fun with the journey. but i can't stress enough, be patient and take your time to properly prep the area and in the end you'll be happy with what you've created.

JL recommends a slot ported box with 1.5 cu ft per sub: http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs.php?series_id=5

Scroll down to "Click here to download the owner's manual".  At the bottom of page 4 you'll see recommended enclosure specs.
