i have 3 pioneer ts-w306dvc's, theyre in a parallel 4 ohm at 2.666 ohms at the amp, theyre 400 watts rms a piece and 1000watts max, now the jl is 1000 watts rms at 1.5-4 ohm at 12v, for some reason wen my subs hit a certain base all 3 of them pop and rattle like a mofo, ive tried adjusting all the frequencies and everything and they still pop, i know theyre not blown i was just wondering if maybe im giving them too much power wit that jl amp? but if i turn the gain down they down even hit rele at all, what should i dooo helpp me

I dont know how pioneer rates there power, but JL definatly under rates them... Do you have ample power feeding the amplifier. If lets say for example, you have a crappy alternator, and 8 gauge wire feeding the amp, under big hits the amp will not give proper signal. I had this problem once with a friends system where he had 500RMS Rockford system hooked up with 8 gauge, and the ground wasnt properly cleaned either. were the subs or amp hooked up to separate systems previously, and were there any problems? or did you buy them both and this is their first system?

i have 2 gauge from the optima all the way to my 2 farad cap, ive had many systems hooked up and this is the only one to do this to me, they dont look like theyre over excurting or anything but the popping is scaring me like im gonna blow them, i imagine it cant be too good for the subs.
