Doing a pretty basic sub/amp install in a 97 cavalier 2 door next weekend. I want to get in and out of this car fast. Does anyone know off hand where the best location is to get the power wire from the battery to the cab, and then obviously to the trunk. I am assuming there is a good sized grommet where i can run 8 gauge through, but where. And then I will run under door panels to back...
Thanks... Oh yeah, Any easier way to do the remote? or do i have to rip out a stock head unit. Lol, I am too lazy on this project. thanks

I believe the battery is on the driver's side, so you'll want to run through on that side.  When I don't see a grommet or plug easily accessible, I go through the steering shaft boot- it's ghetto fabulous.  Just make sure the wire is secured in place.  Why would you rip out the head unit to connect a remote?  Just find an accessory wire (ignition harness, cigarette lighter, etc.).
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

yeah, i got a little excited and wanted to pound it out really fast when i posted it. lol. I just checked out the car today, and in like 3 seconds i found a workable grommet, since its only 8 gauge. And I will tap remote into the fuse panel. It is going to be rediculously easy now that I seen it all. I just didnt expect it to be this easy and wanted to ask anyone else if they did one. thanks guys.
