Yes I searched and did not find this problem.
I have one JL 10W0 powered by a Kicker amp. Just this moring I powered the system up and it was fine, then when I turned the car off after all the others speakers had stopped playing the sub popped three or four times? What could this be? I have the remote turn on lead run through a relay because of all the other amps, also the gain is set correctly. I have been doing this a long time and never had this weird of a problem. Thaks for any imput you have to offer.

1.  How long has this system been playing fine with no problems, set up the way it is?

2.  Did you make any changes at all prior to the problem starting?

3.  And, do you normally turn the car ignition off to turn off the sound system, or do you usually use the deck off switch?

It sounds like the sub amp powered off/on three or four times.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

1. I have had it installed for almost 7 months now.
2. No changes. The only thing out of the ordinary was a few drops of water dripped from the trunk lid onto the subs dust cover but did not get inside or touch the wiring.
3. Yes I have it set up so that when you turn the ignition on the system powers up and the ignition is turned off the system powers off.
What would cause the amp to ppower on and off like that?
Thanks for the reply.

If this is happening now on a regular basis I would start troubleshooting the turn on lead network.  But if it happened just once I would consider it caused by a gremlin.

Thanks for the reply. It hasn't happened again, so I think that it was just a gremlim.

My sister-in-law had a similar problem with her system.  It turned out that the ground wire had become loose and seemed to somehow be backfeeding the system with leakage current.  Maybe give it a check.

I had something like this once on a finicky ground wire. re-cleaned it and dissapeared all together. definatly worth double chicking like csol said.
