94 ford explorer sport wiring

Ive got a 94 for explorer sport, im trying to install a new sterio but ive run into a problem, all of the wires have been cut :( so i cant use a store bought connector to make life easy.
Ive worked out the ground, constant, and switched power, but now a problem. I cant get any of the speakers to work no matter what i try. Is there a amp or somthing ive goto get power to? Here are the colors for the wires i have (since the colors the information on this site seem to be wrong).
Green
Gray
Gray / Black stripe
White / Orange stripe
Yellow
Purple / White stripe
White / Red stripe
Brown
Please help :( im at my wits end.

update: after removing lots of pannels, ive found the amp. Where can i find out what wires are the ground/power for the amp? thx.

Test the wires for voltage.  Once you find the hot wires, you can eliminate them as speakers.  With your remaining wires, test pairs until you get readings of around 4 ohms, or maybe a little higher.  These will be your speakers.  Now, using a battery, you can "pop" these speakers to determine which wires are for which speakers.  If the speaker cone moves out toward you, the wire you touched to the positive battery terminal is positive, the other negative.  If the cone pulls in away from you, it's the opposite.
