When i tried to install an aftermarket radio in my  2003 Avalanche, everything works except the speakers. i checked it with two radios and two different wiring harness. does anyone out there have any ideas what it could be. i also tried to wire it directly but i cant find a wiring diagram for  my radio.

well..without the inferface module you will lose certain things amongst the vehicle...i'm not sure excatly what in that specific vehicle... i also thought those vehicles had an external amp (someone correct me if i'm wrong) but either way, did you connect the blue wire on the back of your deck to anything?   what that wire does it sends a power signal to your amp(s) and tells it to turn on, if the factory or aftermarket amp doesn't see that signal then you get no power to the amps and no sound.
