Are MA Audio Amplifiers overated.  Does anyone have any experience with them?  Are their rms ratings accurate?  Are they reliable.  I am looking specifically at these:

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=267-131

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=267-123

Do you think these will be comparable to the Hifonics amplifiers with about the same rms ratings.

Also, what would the HK1998 produce into a 2.67 ohm load.  I am figuring it to be 1000watts, is this correct?  Are the wattage values linear between2 and 4 ohms?

Thanks for all the help and advice

Jacob

Neither of these lines of amplifiers are close to accurate on their ratings. If you are a bargain basement type of shopper, they are for you. If you are a buy it right the first time kind of shopper, look to a far better product.

OK.  Thanks for the response, I thought the price was too good to be true.  What are your thoughts on the Hifonics Brutus and Titan Series.

Specifically these:

I won't buy on eBay, they were just the quickest links I could find.

Thanks for all the Help

why not look at the new Blau Velocity series amps?... they have lots of get up and go and are rated at CEA-2006 specs....(since you already have some Blau experience)
