i just picked up a mtx ta81001; 1500watts at 1ohm, 1000 watts at 2ohms, and 500 at 4ohms. i was wondering what subs to get, it was between                    2 10" mtx 8500  or 2 10" eclipse sw7000, which one would be the better choice. if you guys have any other suggestions i would love to hear them. thanks in advance

couldn't you go with 12" instead of 10"? 12" are better subs than 10's. but if space is a premium you could go either of the two 8500 10" or the 10" eclipse sw7000. never heard the eclpise, but hear good thing about them. about the 8500 i'll prefer the 7500's inestead of them. the 7500 are better subs than 8500. i have the same amp that you have and i have it to power 4 mtx 12" 7500 and they hit pretty hard.
