My wifes truck Honda CRV got broken into and normal routine destroyed the dash while stealing the stereo that is no good to them since it was an Eclipse with the ESN turned on. So when I do the next install I want the deck Recessed with a false front of a stock deck. I have seen it done befor but I am not sure on how to go about it.

So when you look in all you see is a stock front until I remove the false front to use the deck. I am going to get an Eclipse HU again. If I have a shop do it what kinda of price am I looking at or should I expect.

I have also just found out that if the dealer install it Eclipse would of replace the deck since it happened in the fist year. It would of been nice of the shop to tell me that because I would of let them do the install.

I am looking for the best route to go.

We would charge $ 150-200 ( if you provided the deck ). You would need to make a frame to attach the deck to that would allow if to be recessed about 3/4"-1" and then build tabs to allow the false face to attach to via spring clips, ABS plastic door plugs or something as simple as velcro. The biggest thing would be to ensure that you have the added depth to sink in the Eclipse deck into the back of the factory location otherwise you hit the frame or venting in the back.

Thanks for re-heading my question.

Making the frame is something I am not sure of how to make, I have not done that type of fab before and I have not been able to find out much on the inernet for ideas on how to do it. I think I will also ask a few local shops.
