Well I dont want to spend $600 on Eclipse CD8000 deck which comes with time delay. But I do want something that will create time delay. I searched online and found that there is a thing called "delay lines" but I cant find who makes them. So if any one find it please post. Thank you

What is it that you want to achieve?
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

You really don't have to have a $600 head unit for this, my $200 kenwood HU has 5volt preouts, offset as you are speaking, mp3 cababilities and an aux. input.

most people would not even notice the diffrence in the time delay unless they have spent hundrend's on ust thier front staging alone.       But if you are looking to find a deck with these capabilitys almost all the alpine 9800 series players have it.
I also have one for sale.....Alpine 9853, see the as in the buy sell fourm

Did u even read my post. Ur deck prbaby has 5v out but that will be at the highest volume possible and you never get to that volume ever. At normal listening your voltage will be around 2V which is pretty crappy compare to Eclipse which is 5V throughout all the volumes. Thats one of the reasons why I want to get a line driver. Another thing that your deck doesnt have is time delay and thats what I was asking about in my first thread.

The alpine has full time delay settings for all 6 channels.......maybe you should look into this as a said before, almost all the alpine 9800 series radios have time delay.
Also what amps are you running that will take over a 5v input?
you can make full power on any amp on the market right now with a 2.5 volt output let alone a 5v
I was just offering a suggestion that would cost you in the $250-$400 range instead of the $600 range of the eclipse unit you were looking at

Search around for a last years model CD8445, CD8455, a much older CD8454 or CD8443 to get something with time delay, you should be able to save a boatload of money and still get a top notch cd player.

The above advice is great.  It's great that you're exploring your options with time delay and such- more power to you.  Along those same lines, I'm still trying to figure out (along with many others, I'm sure) why you want a line driver so bad.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

Your third sentence took the words right out of my mouth geepherder.
That's my opinion. Take it, leave it, or correct me.
