It's possible that you need a bigger alternator/ generator/ accu (not familiar with that). But it's not the sound so much that will tell you, it's whether the system gets as much power as it should get.  Your amplifiers will try to pull power from your vehicle, and if there isn't enough to give you will see the results somewhere else, usually when you've got headlights on.  If that's the case, then you need to upgrade to a bigger powerplant.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

Regardless of what kind of wattage you are running, a capacitor is not the answer to make you stereo sound "better". It can add a nice look to some systems, but is certainly not needed. As long as your amplifiers are recieving the power that they desire to power your loudspeakers then there isn't anything else to get.... (outside of cosmetics)

If your struggling to get power to your amplifiers then look at upgrading your alternator, battery or batteries, the big 3, or possibly a combination of these. This should get your power back on track and the problem is then solved. If the problem your having is with the sound of your stereo then, maybe you should look at items other than a capacitor. (like speakers, enclosures, sound dampening, etc.) Try to hold onto that Audison though....

Do whatever makes you happy in life without diminishing the happiness of others

I have visions of Back To The Future every time I hear about capacitors.....

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
