ok here whats up i have a few gm data radios sitting around. i am wanting to make a display for some of our oem intregration pieces ie. ipod interface, sat interface, etc... is there anyway that anyone knows of to power up a radio without the bcm. any ideas would greatly appreciated

It can be done, but you need a technician that knows what he is doing. I am speaking of a bench repair tech that can hack a working vehicle to see what data messages are necessary ar construct a module that will duplicate those. Unless you have a tech like this, it will be easier and cheaper to buy a BCM and do it this way. Different GM radios use different data messages to turn on. You are tackling a complex and difficult problem.
