i have an audiobahn a2300hct amp.. it has two channels and when i plug speaker wires into the left channel it works fine. the positive terminal of the right channel works also but when i plug anything into the negative terminal of the right channel the subs jump and pop and sparks go everywhere.. help! im sure this is a basic mistake but i just cant figure it out.

Sounds like a bad right channel on the amp. Put a meter on it and see if you are getting DC current through it.

You can get it repaired or replace it.  You can look at it as a great time to upgrade.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
