12 inch solo x, kicker 2500.1 amp wiring?

i have a 12 inch solo x subwoofer and a kicker 2500.1 amp. the sub has 2 voice coils, both at 2 ohms. the amp isn't rated for 1 ohm and at 4 ohms it only puts out 1250 watts. is there any way i can wire the sub to 2 ohms?

No the only way you can run a 2 ohm dvc is at 1 ohm or 4 with your amp.

Read this thread... Yes, you CAN run one voice coil, for a 2 ohm load. Judiscious gain matching becomes important though, so as not to overpower the woofer... Otherwise, run the coils in series, 4 ohms, set your gain appropriately, and enjoy amp longevity, improved damping factor, lower distortion, better efficiency... ALL good things! 1250 watts is still a TON of power. Why does everybody think they HAVE to load an amp to it's max rating?It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice.
