Hey, i was interested in getting one 12" sub (mtx 8500 or boston g5) that can pound, yet put out very accurate bass notes (good from hip-hop, jazz, classical, and blue grass if i get that feeling) and really work with the MTX 895 amp. The car that it's going in is a '04 nissan sentra and i'm running a kdc-x889 reciever. I picked those two because i have a buddy that can get them at a really good price, but i am open to other types of subs in the 450-500w rms range. I most importantly want clarity.
thanks

My first suggestion is to go have a listen to both, if possible.

Secondly, I believe the MTX sub is geared more towards spl applications, I know this holds true for the 7500.

The enclosure will be very important as well, some thing you may want to look into prior to your purchase.
