Does anyone offer a quailty head unit with flash drive input? CD's are so old school.flash drive head unit? -- posted image.

If not does anyone know of plans to release one?

Im tired of scratching and skipping.

Also, can music be stored in mp3 format with the same hi-fidelity as cd?

I was hoping for alpine, eclipse or at least sony or panasonic... but I have been out of the business for awhile. Does kenwood make good equipment these days?

Sony is very bottom end my friend. The JVC and Kenwood decks are far better than the Sony stuff. I would say that between the 2 the Alpine is a better head unit. If you wanna use memory cards you can go with an Eclipse 7000 as they have a memory stick drive built in. Uses Sony Memory.

Yeah I've never been a sony guy unless your talking about tv's, but when I left the business (1998) Sony was showing some improvements with thier high end stuff, Eclipse wouldnt make a removeable face plate and Alpine was teatering on going bling. I figured anything was possible. If you ask me, I still want to pull my radio out of the dash and take it with me. In Oakland they'll steal anything.

I'll check into the Eclipse thanks.
