I have a 10 Alpine Type R dual 2 ohms in a ported box, running at 4 ohms.  To power the sub I'm using a Rockford Fasgate Punch 401S I think it 400 watts.  Well my ? is that I just got a JBL BP1200.1 now My 10" is rated at 500rms and 1500peak  and the amp is rated at 600x1 @4ohms and 1200x1 @1 or 2 ohms will this blow my sub.

Thanks

There is a high probabality that it will not blow the sub right away if your careul with it. If I was you, just make sure you keep the power at or below 3/4 to be safe and watch the distortion when using the bass level adjust as this is not just a volume increaser. Other than that it should really pound. Is this in a daily driver by chance?
If your counting pennies and dimes then maybe you shouldn't be spending every penny and dime you have!!
