You should get a high level converter, this wires into your rear speaker wires.  For remote turn on, I can't remember on the jimmy but if you have to you can use the accessory wire in the ignition harness. It is also possible that whichever amp you choose will have high level inputs, which wires right from the rear speakers to the amp for signal. Also depending on which amp you get some will automaticaly turn on with input signal.

I prefer to use a high level converter, if necessary.

Yes it will run off your factory speakers and covert it to RCA's then that will run to your amp

srry and just to make sure, that if i don't get these i have to run the rear speaker wires directly to high input outlets on the amp(if it has them?)? now i'm just splicing into the wire right, don't disconnect em?

srry i'm such a noob as this stock deck thing.

tnx again!

Yeah, just strip a little bit of insulation off the speaker wire and wrap the converters input wires to this. You don't disconnect just t- off of them.

hey!!! YEAH stock gmc jimmy deck owns, if its the same as my 99 blazer... Yeah PM me if you need any help, the remote is one of the yellow wires, (not the yellow from the speaker)

There you should go... I hooked up my LOC to the rear left and right. You can strip a little and solder it on, or get those tap connecters I would assume... If I were you I would NOT disconnect the stereo. Try and do the connections with it plugged. It may lock up and you have to visit the dealer and pay a bit for the unlock. The remote is easy too (if you doubt your connect, test it with a DMM first, ignition on then off). Good Luck.

I would get the male and female harness adaptors from Metra or Aamp of America. By buying the harness adaptors you can make this more of a plug in type job. Most of the time if the vehicle does not have a power antenna or amplifier a turn on wire is NOT in the factory plug or harness HOWEVER most radio's will have this output on them. By getting the correct harness adaptors the amp turn on wire should be present (and it is on the 71-1858 or the BHO1858 harness adaptors) and by wiring this to the amps turn on connection the amp will be controlled being on or off by the radio and not the ignition switch or a toggle switch.

Here is a link to how I've done it in the past:   https://image16.webshots.com/17/7/90/80/209979080tLZMUU_ph.jpg

I would also use the front outputs off of the radio this way when you fade more front to get more of a front stage the subs do not go down in volume like they would if tapped into the rear outputs.

The Metra harness adaptors are 70-1858 (plugs into the car side harness) and the 71-1858 (plugs into the radio). Aamp of America's part numbers are BHA1858 and BHO1858.

If your amplifier does not have speaker level in then run a 5 conductor wire back to the amplifier and then put the line level next to the amplifier this way you are running a hotter signal back to the amplifier before it gets knocked down and there is less chance of induced noise into the cabling between the radio and the sub amp.
