I have just failed on trying to even get near my rear stock speakers in my 1999 camry ce...It seems damn near impossible to get these things out unless you are pretty good at this.....should I give up and fork over the money for a PRO to do this job? Or am I just blind?

Look inside the trunk under the rear deck and see how they are mounted.  If they're screwed in from the top, and the grills don't come off, you'll have to remove the rear deck.  Fold the seatbacks down (or remove them if they don't), remove the side trim pieces (c-pillars), and take out the rear deck.  Now unbolt the speakers and replace.  If this is confusing, take it to a pro.

Alternatively, you could look here: http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremoval.htm.

My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.
