Hello everyone,

I had an inquiry regarding the installation of Dynamat. Curretly my car is a frame, i just purchased 14AWG speaker wire because i am re-wiring my entire car. Pretty much what i am getting at is, before i apply the Dynamat i ran all my speaker wire(s) & RCA's on the left side of the car, and my power is on the right. I am "prepping" the car with that alcohol solvent before application of the Dynamat. When installing the Dynamat can i apply it over those wires (they will be permanent, power, speaker, RCA's) . I know when you install Dynamat you need a hard roller and a heat gun, i didnt want to apply it over those wires cause i was not sure if it would effect the wire because of the heat from the gun and the tar on the Dynamat. Also would it effect any of the other wires in the car? In terms of a bad connection or short, if i go over them as well?. Or would it best to place the Dynamat on the bottem and the wires on the top.. If anyone could assist me in this matter it would be greatly appreciated.

Never apply Dynamat or any other sound deadening sheet over wires! It can be dangerous. Sound deadening should be applied directly to the sheet metal of the vehicle or it will not work properly.

I have a quick question, i am currently dynamatting my floor on my car, and in the middle of the back seat is oval metal plate, with a wire going to the dash, i believe its the gas gauge sensor? ... do i cover that with dynamat? or do i go around that? if anyone could please let me know ASAP it would be greatly appreciated

I recommend covering the oval port but be sure to go under the wiring - and under ALL wiring.
