Hi sure this is a  simple one for somebody...

Got a cheap inverter to charge the laptop on the dash - Vaio  PCG-U3, tiny little thing.

When its on I get power hum coming from the sub.  I have tried to move the earths for each away from each other, which helped some, but the hum remains still.

Is there something I can try?

Many thanks!

More blue lights please!

instead of earths call them grounds.
Is the inverter wired directly to the battery or is it a cigarette lighter one?

Its had the crappy cigarette lighted adapter chopped off and been wired, via relay and fuse, to the battery.  THe live has anyway, ground goes to body.  Sub is wired a similar way.

Any thoughts please?

More blue lights please!
