My neighboor has an Eclipse AVN 2454 installed in his 4-runner and has no picture when a DVD is played. There is sound output but no picture. I plan on pulling it out and exploring but wanted to see if can get a little info first since I have no experience with multimedia units. Any suggestions?

video wire not plugged in sounds like.

I may be asking for too much but any chance you would know what color the video wire is before I go searching?

Is the vehicle in park with the parking brake engaged?  If not, then it is working properly.

We've tried it with the vehicle in park, park with emergency brake and drive and nothing changes.
