System:
1 Orion 2500d
1 18" RE MT
1 Alphasonic 150x4
2 Re Components
I also have three 5" tv's in the truck and one flipdown
also 2 Yellow Tops and an Iraggi 280a Alt.
The Stereo shope is telling me that I will need one 10 farad cap or two 4 'farad caps. Do I??
I have searched earlier threads and found
http://glasswolf.net/caraudio/capacitors.html
Great info but do i need a capacitor?
Thanks in advance

they are trying to tell you that you need to give them money for no reason, your system looks PLENTY fed. GREAT choice on alt and batterys, cap is ABSOLUTLY meaningless. keep your money or by something else.

Yep... yer set. I hate stereo shop that sell stuff just to make a buck. Sure they have to stay in busines somehow, but they COULD be honest about it!
You don't need a cap.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

I totaly agree with the first 2 replies, they are feeding you some poop. You don't need a cap, but it would look cool. With that size alt. and 2 batteries you should be set. Read the stick above on the big 3.
