ive got a volkswagen Polo 2005 model

and im wondering on how i can go about removeing the original cd player from it

any help would be greatfull

If it's like the other VW's and has slit's in the front, you need a set of removal keys.  They slide in and the unit will come out.
My ex once told me I have a perfect face for radio.

yeah it has got slots but they are not the round type

they are the flat thin type

yes, the round type are singnature to ford manufacturers(ie. ford, mazda, lincoln etc.) however vw's make radios that also require keys to remove the radio. while it has proven very difficult to get one's hands on a set of these keys, alpine after market hu removal keys are similar and with a little modification, you can get the alpine keys to remove the radio. just be careful not to damage the radio and dont force it.

Any large tool carrier will carry them (snap on) or you can order them offline, about $20 for a set of all european keys
