power wire guage?

thanks in advance to all of those who help me with this. ok so here is the question: i have a kenwood 2 channel amp running on a 4 guage kit, it has 2 30 amp fuses and runs at 340 watts rms, i am wanting to add an 4 channel amp for my speakers. will i need to upgrade to 2 or 0 guage wire or can i just add a distribution block in for the power and ground terminals? thanks again for your help - Chrisyou can't fix stupid

just noticed an unclear part of my previous post, the 2 30 amp fuses are for the amp not the wire kityou can't fix stupid

what 4 channel amp are you planning to add? did you already check this?Shaking The Neighborhood

The 4 gauge will be fine... 4 gauge is rated to 150A, and unless you are adding a HUGE 4 channel amp - something that pulls 90A, you're gonna be well within the safe operating range of #4...It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. well honestly im not sure of what amp ill be getting. it will most likely run some where around 40-50 watts rms per channel. ive been looking at sony, alpine and pioneer amps. ill be getting a new car soon and was lookin to see if i needed to upgrade or salvage my old kit.you can't fix stupid

well the new car ill be getting is a 2000 civic coupe, so id guess the distance would be between 15 and 18 feet tops. as for the ampage the amplifier will pull i dont know, my sub amp has 2 30amp fuses and its runnin at 340 watts rms bridged so i take a guess that a 50 watt rms 4 channel amp would pull between 20 and 35 amps.you can't fix stupid
