bose speakers blowing fuses?

ok hear's a good one. I was in the bay with my supervisor and we were about to close up shop when a customer with a 97 nissan maxima with bose option pulls up. she says that she wants a new deck and new speakers because she says they dont work. upon closer inspection, I said that the speakers didnt work because they werent hooked up, they were cut at the speaker. then she says to me....."yeah, thats because when they are hooked up the radio fuse blows". so anyways, i hooked up her new deck and did her rears for here and everything worked fine. I'm just still stumped as to what the rear speakers being hooked up could all of a sudden blow her radio fuse. Any ideas?

no rewiring of the amps, the speakers actually went in fine just hooking up to the factory wiring. i did find a power and ground wire for an aftermarket amp. she did mention something about it preinstallation and i did find evidence of a LOC behind the deck which appeared shoddy at best so...... im dont think that specifically had anything to do with what she claimed about the fuse blowing, but it does lead me to question the integrity of THAT amp install and what other things this person could have messed up.

Definitely wire around the amps. I had an issue with the same car a while back and after the 3rd fuse, smelled smoke. Turned out to be my customer's new deck turning into a paperweight. Go ahead and bypass the amps, depending on the car, the amp may be on the speakers themselves.boosh!!
