I need some help guys. I have a Bronco II that has an enclosure in the back with the subs facing up. My question is that I want this to be a ported enclosure. I don't have the room for the ports to be mounted in the face with the subs.....

The subs face up, can the ports be mounted on the side facing the rear....perhaps at the bottom of the enclosure? And, will this affect the sound quality at all? Thank you for any help......Bryan

Normally you'd want the ports on the same plane as the subs but it is fine to port out the side or top.
Have you ever seen pre made boxes with ports going up while sub is facing forward?
If you placed the port opening on the bottom of the enclosure wouldn't it be facing the floor meaning pretty much no port anyway?
I'd say to port out the rear.
