i got 2 questions. and im sorry that i dont have more information.. but if nessacary ill get it all.

1. this is in a 94 jeep cherokee. i have the amp and subs all installed.  but even after i shut uff the care and take the key out  the amp doesnt shut off.  on the head unit i saw 2 wires that i thought i could us. one labled ACC and the other was label 12Volt.  right now i have the remote power hooked up to the 12volt.  i thought i was sopposed to hook it up the ACC line but the amp doesnt power on at all. any one got any ideas  on what i can do  or try..

2. also the person im setting up for doesnt have any manuals so i cant check all the specs.. but when he bought he sadi the spakers should be able to handle the amp.  but when ever i turn up bass  it starts to make almost like a slapping noise.. as if you had your hand on the woofer while it was going.. its fine when i dont trun it up.. but  the amp is alpine and he spent lose to a grand on it  and my doodiety fast and the furious crap subs hit far harder then  these ones do.  so that doesnt seem right..

id appreciate any help.

thanks

1.  If you're hooking this up to a factory system, you should use the accessory lead for the amp turn on- that way the amp will only be on when the key is turned.  As it is now, the amp is constantly draining the battery.  You need to test the wire you connect this to with a multimeter and make sure it is infact an accessory lead, and has 12 volts only when the key is turned.  If you're hooking this up to an aftermarket deck, use the remote turn on wire in the harness.

2.  It sounds like you're letting the subs "bottom out" and reach their mechanical limits.  This can quickly destroy them.  You may have the gain set wrong (do a search here), or simply an equipment mismatch.  If you're using a factory deck, are you using a line out converter to get signal instead of the high level inputs on the deck- you should be.  Another possibility is the subs are in an enclosure way too big.  What kind of box are they in (sealed/ported)?  Is it built to factory spec, or were the subs just thrown into a premade box (not necessarily to the size they call for)?

im hooking it up to a pioneer deh-11. and the amp is  a mrd-m605 i think.. its a mono  amp and i gues its tested at 633 watts. its going into  memphis ms124d sub woofers.  its says that they rated for 400 watts max. is the amp to power full.  also im still haveing the trouble with the remote power. i tried looking up the wiring diagrams here put  its wasnt right. there different colored wires in the car.

That 600 watts is at 2 ohms.  I can't find any specs on your subs, are the dual or single voice coil?  How many ohms (2 or 4 ohms per coil)?  What is their rms power handling rating (forget max)?  How do you have them wired?

Like I said above, use a meter to test for the accessory wire.

well i know there dual coil. i dont know the rms on the amp.. but i think i really messed something up.. i have no idea what i could have done. all i did was unhook all the wires. and try to hide them.  the amp wasnt hooked up the battery at all. and when i was running them the wire wasnt hooked up to the battery at all.. the remote wire was still hooked up to the head unit on the constant 12v. but even when i w s running them i have he exposed wire covered. and now the head unit wont turn on.. the ac and ventalation wont work.  the lights are dime or flicker. locks dont work.. bu t the windows still do, the little trip computer still does.. i pulled all fuses and none where blown.  and  when the doors are open it contiously clicks even withthe key out.. never stopped even when  i pulled every fuses.. some one please help!!!

It sounds like you let the constant lead touch ground, and blow a fuse.  If you didn't unhook it from the deck, you should have at least taped it off.  Did you only check the fuses inside the car, or did you check under the hood as well?  Be sure to test them with a meter.  Otherwise, take it to a shop like stated above.

yeah i think the constant lead did end up touching it..i hate how when you get wized off and just start loving around how i forget such simple precautions. i did check the fuses underthe hood too. and i didnt test them with a meter just visually.  do you think i could have done more damage then just a blown fuse?

Its possible. Not trying to hurt your feelings, but from what I've read from your posts I think the best thing you could do is have your friend take this to a local audio shop. They may not want to be friends if you burn their jeep down.
