Hey guy, long time since i have been around.  I am currently building a system with a RE SX, i need an amp in the 1000WRMS @1OHM range.  I have looked at Crossfire, and MTX. But what other amps are out there now, I haven't been able to keep up on this stuff over the past year.

Thanks!

The older Orion hcca series were capable of one ohm operation, how ever I don't remember power output.

I might be interested in getting rid of my MTX 81000d, I am not sure how stable it is in one ohm operation but at two it produces at least 1100 wrms.

I'll have to throw my vote in for this amp, its alittle more power than your looking for but I have been quite impressed with them.

$300-$350 tops for the price, we can get an mtx, crossfire, or the concept for that price range.  If there is something good but cheaper that would be great too!  Its for my girlfriend. The kicker and orion amps seem to top that price range.

Is Hifonics really cracked up to what people say they are? They have good, but fishy prices.

Jay, don't touch them with a ten foot pole. Go for the Crotchfire dude (the MTX is a smokin amp as well).
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

If you can find an older Soundstream 10.0 on ebay that would be an awsome amp and it's 1/2 ohm stable.

Last time i played with a kenwood i almost could cook eggs on it. I don't really trust them, well never really did since they are sell outs to the big box stores big time.

I guess i should just settle with my original thoughts of the crossfire or mtx.
