hey guys i just wanted to ask is there a rule to how to connect a cap. do you first connect the ground? or it does not matter?

My advice is don't connect it. Sell it on Ebay and buy a high output alt. But if you really want to, D/C the Batt and hook it up. If the battery is D/C, then it will not be charged and will not matter.

Sell it and buy some 4 gauge or bigger wire and upgrade your big three first.

so im assumming if caps are not good are the lights still dim enen if i use a cap?

a cap is just a bandaid for a bullet wound (qutoed from a very wise man). the bullet wound being your alternators lack of ability to keep up with the power draw.

Please no more questions about caps...upgrade your big three...if problem persists than upgrade your alternator...the end.
