Hey there, hopefully someone can help me out. I removed a factory cd player from an 04 Tahoe without bose and onstar. My problem is that I'm trying to find a way to power up the factory radio so I can display it in my showroom with factory intergration parts. I know it has the RAP system. Just wanted to see if there was a harness out there that plugged into the stereo, or if anyone knew a way of turning on the radio. It would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks.

The Radio is turned on by data bus in the vehicle. The radio is coded to the BCM of the radio, which means you cant even power that radio up in another vehicle of same model and year unless you take it to a dealership to have them program. So using a that radio on a show room floor is pretty much impossible . Unless you know a great engineer that can emulate a data bus of the vehicle that you pulled the radio out of.We have had that done before to use those radios at shows.

Thanks for the response. I'm talking to some of the engineers at peripherial and they are trying to work with me, so maybe that will be my only chance. Thanks for the info.
