I'm looking for a nice sub to complement my focal 165v1 components and I wanted to know if anyone in this forum has heard or owns this sub and if you do, if you could be generous and post your experience with it. I'm looking for SQ and plan on putting this puppie in a angled custom sealed box with .53 cubic ft.
Thanks for any replies.

If you are 100% certain that .53 ft^3 is all you can work with then you have your hand full (maybe). The easiest way to buy a sub and build a box is first buy the sub and build the box off of its specs. Since you reversed it, now you have to look at the specs before you buy the sub to see if they even recommend half a cube. If you want a good sub for focals, stick with the brand. Im a big focal supporter and their products are amazing.

I did research on the sub before I drew up the enclosure model. Focal recommends that this sub be in a box with .53 cubic ft for clean tight hitting bass.
Here's the dimensions for the enclosure.
12"bottom width, 7"top width, 14.1/4" L, and 12" H
with 1" MDF that amounts to .53 cube ft :)
I can't wait! :)

reasearch on what sub? you havent even mentioned one yet. And 1" mdf is complete overkill. You can downgrade to 3/4" or even 1/2 if you resin/bondo mix the inside. I would recommend using that mix on the inside of the box anyways. It helps the sub hit cleaner and more accurate.
