This afternoon at lunch I had a deal presented to me for a couple of new amps.

I'll start with my current equipment:

HU: Pioneer DEH-P80MP

Front Stage: Infinity Reference 6010cs 6.5" components

Rears: Factory

Sub Amp: Phoenix Gold Xenon x400.1 (not very happy with the sound)

Subs: Single Infinity 1230w (I have a second one, just gotta build the box to run 2 so I will be running 2)

I was in a local car audio shop browsing for a 4 ch. amp. Basically I'm on a budget just looking for some decently clear sound. They have Alpine stuff on clearance and I ended up working this deal with the guys there (I haven't bought it yet).

I got a price for an Alpine MRPF250 of $242 CAN and a price of $270 CAN for an MRPM450 monoblock. If I buy both they will give me a credit for my amp on a trade of $150, bringing my net cost to $380 CAN for both amps. These amps are BNIB factory fresh with full warranty. For an extra $100 they will give me the MRPM650 instead of the MRPM450.

Product info:

My plan is to keep my HU and fronts, and for the time-being rears. The rears will eventually get swapped out for a set of coaxs or straight woofers, they are also 6.5" in size located in the rear doors. I want to run the fronts from 80Hz up, want to use the rears as midbass drivers (80HZ to 300HZ?) and run the 2 x 12s in a sealed box from around 80Hz down.

Oponions??? I know Alpine isn't what it once was but I can't really afford much more than this as I'm still in school and paying for my car and insurance too Alpine amp opinions? -- posted image..  I just want it to sound as good as possible with the $$$ availible.

Thanks guys.

Ok good. I've never had a single piece of Alpine anything so I thought I'd ask.

Any other opinions? Or better yet anyone with any of these amps?
