Im looking in to buying 2 MTX Thunder 9500 12" subs.I have a 1997 Oldsmobile Bravada-Plenty of box space.Does anyone have any feedback on these subs, or amp/amps to run these on?I already have 1/0 AWG wire through the car on a 200amp circuit breaker from previous setup.
Thanks in advance

Well, a friend of mine had two 9500 12"s in a jeep cherokee in a ported box, and they sounded so so...If your looking for SPL theyre a good woofer but as far as SQ, they get a 2 out of 5 from me...

Blowing up in a car accident doesnt worry me, as long as I'm putting out some major dB's when I die...

my previous amp on the old setup was an
Audiobahn a2300hct..(yes i know audiobahn is not top quality)
but its 1 ohm stable for 2400 watts rms (so it says)
still have it
would you guys reccomend selling it for something else or buying a new one ?

why not try the amp on the subs before thinking about replacing it? as long as the gains are set right i dont see how it could hurt anything just to test it out. if you find you need more power then get a better amp. i know that every one on here is going to tear you up about the audiobahn but its what you have u know its not the best brand, but if it works it works. i have an audiobahn comp set in my front doors (for the last 3yrs) and i honstly like them, ive never had anyone get in my truck and complain so i'll keep running them till they die.

thats what i will be doing..
but I'm not sure if it will be the best/better option for getting the best performance out of the subs possible
