What size fuse do I need?

My system consists of a 1500w diamond amp and a 500w kicker amp. Can someone tell me what size amp I need to run? TIA

How big is your power cable? That's what you are worried about, the fuse is to protect that, not the amps...
A #4 should be fused no higher than 150A (and I hope you are not using anything this small for that much amplifier), a #2 no higher than 225A, and a #0 no higher than 350A.
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

goto the left toolbar on this site and click ohm's law under basics and then click ohm's law calculator, then plug in your wattage and voltage and you get amperage, and with what you posted, you would get 138.8889 amps, so round off to 150 amp fuse. For in the field, add up the fuses in all your amps ( say the diamond had 4 30 amp fuses and the kicker had 2 20 amp fuses) to equal 160 amp fuse and round off to closest value of fuse you have, basically*

thanks a lot. I didn't know about the calculator on the left.

Next question: Should I fuse both amps before the distribution block in addition to each individual amp as well? I plan to run a single 0 ga in with 2 - 4 ga out to each amp.
