Hi Guys and Gals
I would just like to take the time to offer my thanks to all of those that put up with my stupid Questions, and to the rest of the forum and other topics for giving the assistance, help, advice and knowledge to do my own custom install.
Just in case anyone is interested this is what I have now after replacing the stock system, from a Nissan Navara Duel cab
Alpine CDA-9853
MB-Quart RCE-216 6.5" splits
Alpine MRV-F540
Earthquake SWS 10" shallow mount
Head units I have installed before, however it has been like 15 years since I did an amp and had never built a Sub box until now
I have installed the splits in the front doors in the coxal option for ease of install, after making spacers to fit from the stock 6", I moulded one of the map pockets in the door to fit the x-overs. ( not the most conventional but I'm happy with the outcome.
For anyone who read my first topic " Advice for a newbie" you would be aware of the small space problem I had for a sub and the various options I had looked at.
The sub box and amp rack was a huge issue, after much brain storming and cardboard mock ups( and my brain still hurts)
here is the end result, a custom built box to hold the sub and Amp, while still fitting behind the rear seat.

I must say that I was very sceptical about putting a shallow mount sub in after reading all the rants and not many raves. I had listened to many different options for a bass solution, including a couple of shallow mounts ( Pioneer sounded tinny) and was even more confused, until someone I knew said that the earthquake was a good option. Flying blind I took a punt and brought it with out hearing it. The punt paid off in my opinion.
It is a hell of a lot better than I had expected it to be after reading the reviews. I wont proclaim that it is as good as a full size 10", however in my opinion it is damm close and I would recommend to anyone looking for a solution like I was
Cheers Daniel
