What is the reason why my subs keep getting frozen.
I have gone through 2 subs a 10W6 and a 12W3. Both lost there excursion, the subs quit at low volumes.
Is there a way to fix the subs?
my amp is a JL 500/1
thanks

It's called fried voice coils.  Replace or repair and then set up your system properly so it won't happen again.

Also it could be that a 500/1 is a beast...causing what DYohn said about fried coils...with that amp get a 12W7

huhu... he said "pole".
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
