I plan on putting (4) 13w7 subs in a truck with (2) 1000/1 amps. I understand there are several ways to wire the subs, is one way superior to the others? At the moment I believe to wire the speaker in series, but the pair of speakers parallel, two subs per amp. Would one amp per sub be a complete waste of money?

The 13" W7 has dual 1.5 ohm voice coils so wiring them in parallel would NOT be a good idea. This would produce a .375 ohm load for an amp that's rated at 1.5 ohm minimum. Series wire the coils at the sub and parallel them at the amp. Two subs per amp equals 1.5 ohmload. Please know your specs before giving advice on such expensive equipment.
There is no such thing as free installation!

Thank you---That is what I wanted to hear, I have asked a few people and your reply is the same. In a week or so I will have the amps wired, and the next step will be tuning/adjusting what features are actually on the amp. The dealer will offer suggestions, but somebody with the same set-up is also a great deal of help.

Thanks again, Ryan
