Can someone please advise how to connect the factory XM antenna into an Alpine XM unit.  I have found the factory XM receiver behind the glove box but cannot figure out how to unclip the yellow antenna clip off of the factory receiver.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks

My searches were somewhat helpful but not entirely:

take the alpine xm tuner box, shave off the nipples on the plug so the plug is just round.  then just plug in the factory antenna.  the factory plug faces the front of the vehicle.  its a little bit of a b!@# to unclip but i used a pick tool and i got it undone.
If you say "I already know how", don't ask me a single question.

Excellent advice Bmnicolosi!  Worked like a charm.  The most difficult part is getting the plug out of the factory xm unit - what a pain.  I ended up using a pick tool as well but it was not easy.  Another note - the factory xm plug is not too long - mine would only stretch just past the other side of the glove box (close to the middle HVAC vent).  So, I had to mount the Alpine XM unit behind the area just to the right of the HVAC controls.  This was not optimal (I was hoping to keep the Alpine XM unit under the center console) but seems to work fine.

Again, thanks for the assistance Bmnicolosi.
