Hey guys.

I've got a '00 VW Golf.  I just hooked up some Rockford Punch 163s for some better sound.  They're 3-way speakers.  But with my stock tweeter being up at the edge of the window frame, I wanted that hooked up to have the high-frequencies still come at me from a higher point in the car.  So I just wired that tweeter in parallel with the Rockford 3-way.

My question is, would this cause an end result of a 2-ohm impedance?  Or because of the filtering to each speaker do I still have 4 ohms?

Thanks guys

Unhook them.  You will damage your head unit.  You do not have a 4 ohm impedance now, and in very short order those OEM tweeters will blow.
Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
