i have a kdc x789(deck)  its all  wired up with a harness and running to an amp which powers my highs and bass...  none of the speaker outputs are being used since the amp is powering everything and the only thing going from the deck is the rca's..

i have no idea why but sometimes while im driving it just turns off.. the deck screen goes blank and all the lights go off but its still getting power because the red light that usually blinks when the car is off stays solid like it alwys does when the car is on.. and it will still eject the cd..  in order for me to turn it back on i have to push the little reset button on the front of the deck.  than someitmes it will turn on for a second and turn back off.. or sometimes it'll play for a few minutes than turn back off..

Anyone have any idea why this would be happening? This problem is really annoying.. Thanks

Loose connections or defective deck.  Check all your connections and if good, take the HU back to your dealer for warranty repair.
