I was intersted in getting the MA1500XL and was wondering if it would be a good buy. I haven't heard to much about MA Audio I was hoping someone on here would know if they made good products or should I not even bother with them. http://sonicelectrnix.com/item_2761.html from those stats they seem as though they should be a pretty good sub but I know you can't believe everything you read when it comes to car audio. So if anyone out there knows about MA Audio I'd appreciate the help.

MA Audio is made by the Anaba Group in China.  The MA Audio (or Mobile Authority) bands are entry-level stuff, not great not completely terrible, although I cannot recommend it based on lack of reliability.  The "Hardkore" line is their competition level gear and great for SPL applications, not so great for everyday use.  YRMV.

No good, been there installed that watched it die. Not impressed at all, especially when the customer sent it back and the second one only lasted a little longer, upon that ones demise they tell him there is a flaw in the voice coils that is causing it to come apart, throw it out and we'll send your money back. It now resides in my dumpster were it belongs......

Mobile authority and MA audio are two different divisions of Anaba, and MA iis better than mobile authority but still sucks.

MA Audio is Mobile Authority.  They dropped the Mobile Authority name in the US because they had generated such a bad reputation.  Anaba makes Cliff Designs, Visonik, MA Audio (Mobile Authority) and Ultralinear all in the same factory.

They're better than "Mega Sound" from Auto Zone and Wal-Mart. My friend purchased one for $17.99 and it said that it could handle 400 watts MAX but I witnessed it die within about 10 seconds with 300 watts MAX -- VR3 amplifier, which is made by Road Master, purchased also from Wal-Mart for $30 and wonder if it can even put out 300 watts -- and had the "correct" enclosure according to the manual.
Quality stuff we're dealing with here.

And yes the amp was setup properly. He was already using it in his girlfriends car because she can't tell the difference, just the BOOM and the vibration.
