My system consists of: Pioneer DEH-P860MP, Alpine Type R 5x7's front and back, Directed 1100D sub amp, Directed 4200 for the highs, and 2 12" Alpine Type R's for the bass, my friend gave me this audiocontrol 6XS free and told me it would improve my sound quality...is this true? how will it improve SQ??? is it worth installing? will i notice a differece? is it better than the 13 band graphic EQ in my Pioneer?

Well, I think your friend needs to do a little more research... Your EQ is an EQ. The 6XS is a crossover, and they do COMPLETELY different things!
It was free, so I'd use it. Bypass all of the crossovers in your amplifiers, and use it, although the item is FAR more than a two way system could use. One thing it will allow is a forward path to upgrading.
Here's the link to the crossover section in the Audiocontrol website...
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

How do you bypass the crossovers on the directed amps??? i see a PASS on the 4200 but on the 1100D it only has a knob for the gain and the frequency which goes from 30-250hz  what is needed to bypass the crossover???

The 1100's crossover cannot be bypassed, apparently. You can still use the 6XS, just set your amp's crossover as high as possible.
