Sony HU read failure

Just installed this unit and everything works fine on it. Customer came back saying that it says failure. Now he did tell me it said that before. He did try to do the install and it was a hack job so he brought it back to us to clean it up. I finished it and like i said it worked fine. I informed the customer that it was probably something that happened inside the radio but he refused to accept that. Has anyone heard of a sony radio reading that.

Wow...all I can say is if it said that when it came in, I can't be responsible if it says that again after it goes back out.

      The newer radios have protection circuitry on the Speaker Output Chip  If it sees a shorted speaker or a grounded speaker wire.  It will read failure  I think some of them tell you which channel has a problem.

Well a couple of his speakers are blown. Hopefully that could be it. He's coming back in the morning.
