Is there any way a sirrius antenna can be cut and joined back so it will work? Got a customer today antenna was cut by trunk lid in an accident ,try joing antenna together only reciever says aquring signal, so bought an new antenna everything ok now why wont joing a cut antenna work?Sirrus antenna -- posted image.

Yes it can. It is just like any other antenna. Some punks ripped my antenna off of my car and I repaired it in a couple minutes.
Just make sure the inner and outer conductor do not touch.
