System cuts out

This morning, and yesterday, I was listening to my system. Both times, it happened when I was just parked and had just started the engine. My subs hit a decent bass note and then my head unit turns off. Couple seconds later turns back on... The engine and everything else ran fine. But then, when I was driving this morning after that happened, it sounded like my subs were cutting out. I could'nt really tell except only by the bass. It would hit kinda hard, then it seemed like it came back on and hit really hard. I just dunno what in the world it could be?! I have'nt done anything to my connections or anything else.

My rep. from car toys had a thought on the fuse under the hood. I figured out my amp draw is 135 with the 3 amps I have. But the fuse is 150 amps. I only have 2 amps running at 100 amps. Could this be the problem? Cause I can't come up with anything else...

I took it to Car Toys today, since I was going there anyway for a job interview. I had a guy look at it and he said it was fine. He said that it was probably cutting off because the voltage got too low. Which is what you stated above. It cut off at about 9-10 volts. So I shoul'dnt be surprised by that...

So, I ditched the battery I had in there and got my hands on the optima yellowtop. I may be broke now, but it does'nt cut off! My voltage stays at 11-12 volts now and does'nt go lower. Which is crazy for not even having the engine running... I really noticed a difference on ignition too. Looks like my truck really needed it! Although, after a HO alt. the BIG 3, NEW battery, 8 8ga. ground wire web, my stuff STILL DIMS! I swear... At 800 RMS I have never seen something so ridiculous. The guy then told me, best bet is to get a cap. Haha, bring on the 10 farads!

I had a buddy who ran 2 12" H4 Orions, If I'm not mistaken, thats almost damn near 2-3K RMS! All he put in was a HUGE ass cap and his barely dimmed!

I talked to Car Toys today, and they said the reason why my volume for my sound system fluctuates is because of something internal in the deck.

I'm not sure really why it would do this, but I wonder if it is something else? Anyone else have this problem and would know how to solve this? I'll have my volume at say, 20, and then all the sudden it will sound like its at 40. Then it'll get quieter... Its pretty annoying.
